inordinately
epitome of incomprehensibility See red_headed_stepchild: I was thinking "oh, of course I'm not jealous of Y's hair anymore" and then I slipped an "inordinately" in there.

Red hair is INORDINATELY admired! See, there is a proper level of how much people should admire red hair!

...But when I was a kid, mostly I just wanted different hair. Red was common (re: brother, my Raggedy Ann doll, Anne_of_Green_Gables, though she didn't like hers). And then golden brown, like I thought Cinderella's should be. Or, if I HAD to be blond, couldn't my hair be bright like movie-Cinderella's? Or dark and straight, so I could be the black-haired, blue-eyed ice queen. Or warm brown and curly, like an autumn goddess.

In short, I spent an inordinate amount of time wishing my hair a different colour and texture.
