glitched
raze i fed the atm my money. it chewed up the bills and spat them back out. twice. into the bank, then, to find a teller willing to perform a task the machine couldn't handle. a man stood on the other side of the glass, imprisoned in the arms of the airless space i'd just abandoned. words can't do justice to the look he gave me. it was wry in all the right ways. he held up my bank card and asked a question with his eyes. "forgetting something?" i eased the door open and took back what was mine. "thanks so much," i said. "my brain just completely glitched out on me." he spun to face the terminal that refused to do my bidding. "i know, bud," he said. "i've been there." 240808
