epitome of incomprehensibility
|
Around September 20, I was walking down Lucien L'Allier to the metro. I noticed that each step I took seemed heavier than usual, so I paused (mentally, but probably walking a bit slower too) to consider why. I was carrying a lot of stuff? I was walking downhill? Yes and yes, but also I was wearing sandals, which I hadn't been doing for a couple of weeks. The sandals are thinner and I feel each step more. That was the September heat wave. The October one is a smaller wave, perhaps a wave goodbye, and I haven't broken out the sandals for highs of 20 C. Not worth it. Foot summer makes way for the footfall, and it's darker but I'm lighter on my toes.
