when you didn't call me for a month i assumed it was because you didn't want to speak to me. she said it was the opposite, that you were afraid i wouldn't want to speak to you.
what to me looks like a crumb is apparently a boulder to you.
when i reach out you recoil, as if instead of reaching for you, i am going to try to hurt you, punch you in the gut.
perhaps i should just be grateful for these crumbs. perhaps this reaching is just a bad habit i need to break.
