ovenbird The most delightful accident happened. Yesterday I was added to a Facebook group chat started by someone I went to grad school with. She had added me and my roommate from twenty years ago. The chat itself was blank. She created it and then didn’t say a word. My old roommate piped up the next day to see if the group was an accident. The group creator said she’d meant to send us a funny meme that she thought would resonate, delightful in itself since I haven’t had any direct conversations with either her or the roommate in years, but it didn’t go through for some reason. She sent the meme. We all had a laugh about it. Then we started chatting. And now the group has been turned into a perimenopause support group and two more people I went to grad school with have been added! And we’re all talking about the existential crisis that is mid-life. Sometimes Facebook isn’t awful. And it makes me think that we need a perimenopause support blathe. Or maybe that’s just me. 260508
