a_drawing_of_you
raze i'm not one of those people who can put pencil to paper and draw something that looks much like what it's supposed to be. but something compelled me to draw your face while you were deep in conversation with someone else. i tried to find the right shades to match your personality. bright colours. strong, but not strident. it was coming along nicely when you said something that made me laugh. i spat what i was drinking on the drawing, in the place i'd made your face, as if i'd been aiming for that spot. and in wiping the liquid away, your features smeared and disappeared in a soft swirl of green and pink. you looked like the beginning of a cliff-side sunset. and still i could see your eyes. i showed you what the drawing had become. somehow it captured you better than any proper likeness would have. your face lit up as you saw yourself the way no mirror would ever show you. the way you really are. 130407
