shivering
insouciant A bitter wind blew across the front yard as I walked to the car. The winter air so empty it felt like it detected the warmth under my jacket as an aggressive intruder. Quickly opening the car door and throwing myself inside, I sat tensing my body momentarily, shivering away the chill wind.

The car came to life with the turn of it’s key in the ignition. Fuel stored within the tank brought movement and comforting vibration, assuring me that warmth would return to the interior once the heating elements came up to temperature. As long as the car had a store of energy and all the major components remained within their operational windows, there was nothing to fear about the soulless environment outside.

Everything will be fine.
