permission_to_name
epitome of incomprehensibility I don't know if I ever explained why my brother never gets a full name when I write about him on blather. It's just this: he asked me not to put it here. My boyfriend said writing his first name is all right. People I don't know so well, I haven't asked permission, but sometimes I change their names anyway. I don't know if I'm always consistent. 240625

raze i think i've always stuck to pronouns for the most part (he/she/they/you), but i know some names have wormed their way into the words over the years.

i used to wonder sometimes if anyone i'd written about would recognize meor themselves — in the event that they somehow found me here. but that never happened. and there's some comfort in knowing it won't happen now, given how buried blather has become.

the person i've written the most about is probably my dad, who told me to go ahead and write anything about him i wanted to. i don't always name him, but he's often around in some form, either as the teller of the tale or a character in the story being told.
