ovenbird MULTITUDINOUSNESS

I can accept "multitudinous." It's a good word. But when you put the "ness" on the end it becomes ridiculous. It's impossible to pronounce. I discovered this when reading Pablo Neruda's love sonnet XLII in which he just goes ahead and uses this word like it's a totally normal thing to do. No word should get to end with "nousness." The tongue can't be expected to navigate that kind of thing, especially after getting all the way through "multitudi", which is already a bit much. The whole word is a tongue_twister and I don't think anyone should be putting this word in a poem where people might be forced to say it out loud. It's just rude.
