amy in red blue this one was about colonial town microeconomics. (NOT post-colonial, mind you) yup. we had these board games when i was a kid. the other "by jove" greek heroes and mythology and there's one called "the play's the thing" about shakespeare. i bothered to re-get these board games, to bother with what the 80's were -really- about. all this trickle down like a magic spell cast by the likes of Michael Landon.

now they have zillions of board games. zillions upon zillions. the Field Museum Shop weirdly gave me one for free called Taj Mahal.

did anybody play Touring? that's an old one, older than me or my parents. why was that so fun. i think i never could get into poker because i had crazier, more interesting games in my past and in my head. and i lacked the imagination to make poker just another version of, say, Touring, or Made for Trade or something.
