tender_square (a found poem from a nextdoor ann arbor posting)

my daughter was living
in a house on william.
one day, she found a turntable
on the curb with aFREEsign.
after a few weeks, she noticed
very faint old-timey music and people
talking. it was so faint. the sound
was coming from the turntable.
it was a very basic turntable; no radio
receiver. she unplugged it, threw
it in the closet. she doesn’t live
in that house anymore.

epitome of incomprehensibility (Nicely done! tender_square, is this the gist of what one person posted or did you put the lines together in a way that changed the story? I was curious about this with "grinched" as well.) 220107

tender_square (thanks e_o_i! this was one person's post that i shaved down to make a bit punchier, i didn't change the way the story unfolded. "grinched" was sort of the same thing: i used one person's post and trimmed back some of the extraneous wordage and then all the point forms that appear after the poem were actual responses from people to the original post, which i thought was pretty funny.) 220109
