Sonya Cantonese for "heart's delights", and dating back 700 years...this food always leaves me beyond satiated.

The craving that's rushing through my veins right now is beyond comprehension!!

Does anyone else enjoy this cuisine?

I have many childhood memories of going to the local dim sum restaurant on Sunday mornings with my parents. We'd always drink chrysanthemum tea and use the chopsticks to select which of these delicacies we would devour next.

My favorite is a tie between the shrimp har gow and the fried taro cakes, but right now I would try a little of everything. Mmm! The little steamer trays that they are cooked in often make me imagine a kitchen filled with stacks and stacks of this petite food.

little wonder the first (and quite possibly only) time I've had it was wonderful. I was living in Minneapolis, so I was little. probably 7 or 8 years old. I'm not sure why I haven't had it since. 040412
