dash raze it was a happy day when i learned the em dash could be used on blather. there's an elegance about it that a regular old en dash doesn't possess, to my eyes. see - this is alright. it does the job. but this right here — this is a dash that means business. something about it just looks pleasing to me. something about the length and heft of it. i forgot about "heft", too. that's a great word. a physical word. it sounds like a hard shove, doesn't it?
