TheJunketeer there's a sort of comfort to old movies. you watch the flicker and can almost hear the low whir and click of an old-timey projector.

it's easy to visually identify those who are bad from those who are good.

the good guys win, they bad guys realize their wrongs and atone, whether by force or will.

The horror is almost comical and the romance predictable.

Life, in these films, is like the flashing picture - black and white - moving behind glass.

Decisions are simple. The plot is easy to follow and, should you ever lose the storyline, listen for the swell of strings and the dramatic, head-turning shot signaling the hero's entrance to pick it up again.

it's almost childlike, in it's melodramatic sincerity.

Simple and concrete. It's a two toned dichotomous way of life.

Would that it were mine.
