antisocial_media
raze it wasn't facebook. it was something different. something new. it felt like a fresh start. i think for a while i wrote more words there than i did here. my mistake was thinking people might be interested in sharing work and ideas, and some sort of community might form itself out of that exchange. there were a few encouraging flickers early on. but that was all they were. no flame took hold. when it came right down to it, everyone was only interested in the sound of their own voice. such is the nature of social_media. it doesn't matter what the framework is or what it promises to deliver. it'll always get bent into something that looks pretty much the same as everything else. and still, i almost miss what never was. 230424
