sarpedon So utterly lacking in my day to day existence.

In math I can feel the confidence and power in the knowledge that each polynomial has at least one zero, even if perhaps it might be imaginary. Proof, and more importantly understanding of such a statement can only come with years of mathematical experience. Confidence is such a great thing.

It's unfortunate that life is not a mathematical problem. It is nonlinear, filled with imaginary solutions to my problems that never seem to actually work out. Remember, each polynomial, like my life, has at least one solution. It's easy to think of and show any number of imaginary solutions, but I just dream of finding the real one.
