faster raze shooter showed up a few days ago with a tail that didn't work anymore. it just dragged behind him like a dead thing. not sure what happened there. a perilous encounter with a bird of prey, maybe. or some other mishap. yesterday i could see the thing begin to fall away from the rest of him. today there was no tail at all. just a tuft of fur and some future scar tissue where that dark wand used to be. i watched him run across a single-circuit power line without one of the most meaningful tools of his trade. it didn't slow him even half a step. if anything, he almost seemed faster than before. now when he lights out for home he resembles nothing so much as a small black rabbit, weathered but unwilling to be broken. 250113 what's it to you? who go blather from
