dawns_early_light pilgrim Looking south across the river in the pre-dawn light, The bright red-orange flame rises above the dark twisted plume rushing skyward. As it rises into the dawns light the top of the plume starts to glow even brighter than the fires that create it. Then the red-orange disappears revealing the blue-white glow of the main engine burn as the shuttle continues accelerating. This morning in the clear dawn light the solid boosters could be seen as pulses of light flashing as they tumbled end over end all the way down to the horizon, leaving faint smoke trails as they went down. The plume, blown into zig-zags by the winds of dawn was left hanging in the sky long after the ship was out of sight,like some crazy neon sign that told of the show you just missed. 020301 ... lulie I saw this. 020301 what's it to you? who go blather from
