raze when your own body robs you of most of what you've done for the last three years to make it stronger than you thought it could be, you dance to some post-punk song you don't know the name of, trying to compensate for what you've lost by leaning into the full weight of all the grace that was never really yours to begin with. you've already forgotten everything about what you were moving to by the time it's over. but it felt right in the moment. the bassist sweetened his tone with a chorus pedal. you remember that. and the drums sounded so real, you could almost weep on their well-beaten batter heads. that's more than most songs can say about themselves these_days. 221010
