changing_friendships
no reason i've had a few of them lately. more like loss of, or i guess lead-to-loss of. it might be that they've changed, or i've changed, or i'm now really learning what i want from friendships, and what i'm not getting, and when to cut loose.

there's one friend who i've known for almost six years now, and these days we see each other often enough at concerts, but we don't really talk. we'll go to the show, listen to the music, and leave. whenever i try to talk to her about something, she usually cuts me off or gets distracted after about one sentence.

in this case i think we've both changed, and we're not often on the same wavelength anymore. but do i actively acknowledge it, or just let her go?

friendships and relationships should be two-way streets. if "friends" don't want to listen to what you have to say, if they don't find you interesting, what's the point?
