anchoring
tender_square i sent my mother a brag-by-image, showing off the large mirror i'd hung in the living room. it's encased in a thick grey frame and was made for fashionably leaning. the back came with clips to support the weight on the wall, one for each of the four directions. i figured it was because it weighed twenty pounds. mom was impressed i did it all on my own. i admitted i struggled: it took a long time to measure between the hooks and mark the wall and drill the anchors; i must've caused four more additional holes to patch in order to get the whole mess to align. i hadn't realized i'd given myself extra work. turns out two of the clips are for hanging the mirror horizontally, and the other two were for the vertical orientation. i guess i was focused on making my reflection a permanent fixture here. 230325
