epitome of incomprehensibility ...Except according to my tired mind when I make a PowerPoint for German class and blithely write Kuchen (cake) instead of Küche (kitchen).

It was about my Traumhaus (dream house). Well, I guess it's more like a *dream* house if your rooms are living room, bedroom, bathroom, and CAKE.

nr mmm, a kitchen made of cake.

this reminds me of when i was in a store in berlin a few years ago and needed to get an adaptor to fit my north american plugs. i asked the salesperson in german if i could try one out, saying "kann ich zum essen?"

i later realized i'd actually said "can i eat it?" (i was thinking of the french "essayer" for "try," probably.) the salesperson didn't seem to find the question odd, which is odd in itself.
