rom_com_subversion raze just once in my life, i'd like to see a romantic comedy/drama/dramedy that ends in this way: after screwing up the burgeoning relationship at the center of the film in some typically moronic way, the male protagonist does something typically moronic in an effort to redeem himself in the eyes of the woman he loves and gives a typically moronic speech meant to prove that his heart is pure and he's finally worthy of her trust and affection. the woman gives him a soulful look, he gazes back at her with hope and expectation clawing at his face, the manipulative orchestra on the soundtrack soars, she opens her mouth to speak... and says, "fuck off," and walks away. the camera lingers on the man's dumbfounded face for a moment as he tries and fails to process what just happened. then a smash-cut to black. and that's the end of the movie. 130922 what's it to you? who go blather from
