raze i'll always remember her as the pink gummy bear from "robot chicken".

i don't say that to dismiss her work in "harriet the spy" or "buffy the vampire slayer". "the body" and everything that came after made it clear what a resonant actress she could be. those quiet scenes of her with the buffybot in the two-part season six opener sock me right in the gut no matter how many times i've seen them.

when i heard she died today, the first thing i did was say, "what_the_fuck?" not in my head. out loud. and then i guess my mind latched onto the memory of her as an anthropomorphic piece of screaming soft candy because it's always made me laugh.

not a lot of things are capable of doing that these_days.

nr when i saw her name as part of a "BREAKING" news story, my heart began to sink, but i thought i might be assuming wrong since she's so young, until i read on.

i grew up with her on my tv as buffy's sister dawn.

i hope she's at peace.
