epitome of incomprehensibility As a spin-off of my ramblings on the Giorgio_Agamben page, it's funny and/or frustrating when the labels people are given are OBVIOUSLY TEMPORARY things like "motorist" and "cyclist," and yet they're treated as Very Important Identifiers.

Some people in the local newspaper were acting as if there's a fight between motorists and cyclists. I'm not denying that there are conflicts about road signage and reserved lanes and such, but things get worded as if "cyclists" and "motorists" are mutually exclusive. Are the writers forgetting that many people who drive cars also ride bikes, and vice-versa?

It doesn't take long to defect to the other side. Park the car, unlock your bike from the bike rack... and BAM, you're on the other side.

Hello from the other side! The other other side. Mostly I take the bus. (I have to get something in the valve of my tire fixed before my bike is roadworthy again.)
