geegaster
epitome of incomprehensibility The paper said "A MUSICAL MEGASTAR" and was tired and read "megastar" as "geegaster." But it said "David Bowie was truly a rare talent" and I said to it, "Whaddya mean, was?" I was talking about him just a few days ago. And now dead and I was miserable. Why did the arts section of the paper have to make me miserable? After me inventing words by accident.

I wanted to share this on blather, but then thought, "Oh no, what's if other people didn't know..." but that is not the case. David Bowie is excellent for the word, an excellent geegaster, and I'll miss him in the way one misses distant people who do cool things. (Geegaster: I think it means combining the new and old in a geeky and/or campy way, but with flair and ebullience. Especially ebullience.)
