The buses in Oxford are polite: if they aren't picking passengers up, the screen displays "Sorry, I'm Not in Service." Ten_years_ago, actually eleven, I told a class that a poem isn't necessarily autobiographical just because it uses "I" with the example, "Take 'I'm a Little Teapot'" (doing the tune and dance to get their attention). "Was that written by a teapot?" But I like to think the Oxford buses are polite.
