raze she finds him in an airport that doubles as a diner, perched on a pew unfastened from faith, pouring his heart out to a bewildered blond boy whose name won't appear in the end_credits. he stands when he sees her, monologue out of mind, and presses his lips to hers as the last song on the soundtrack swells. some strange sadness she can't shake twists her face out of shape. we cut from close-up to a medium shot and she's alone, arms wrapped around the air where his shoulders were a moment ago. a fitting finale for a film wandered into in_medias_res. 250823
