Soma I see that we will be enemies. Very well. To the semicolons I go; to em dashes (or other such dashes) and parentheses – those staples of additional thinking – I will turn. 231204

raze could it be a browser issue? i've noticed some things (like curly quotation marks, and apostrophes, and sometimes even the em_dash) are prone to turning into odd symbols with firefox, but there's nothing amiss when i'm using opera or chrome or safari. 231204

epitome of incomprehensibility Speaking of little things bothering me (as in intrusive_thoughts), there's a comma missing in what's supposed to be the final draft of my poetry chapbook. I just saw it now.

Approximation:

If an "if" begins a sentence,
you're supposed to have a comma
after its clause closes.

Here is a stanza
in between to show
that the two "if"s
do not occur in succession.

If another stanza is missing a comma
at least I have a line break,
but I fear it looks bad
because the other "if"-starting stanza
has a comma and this one doesn't.

The thing is,
this is the third version
of the file, and I fear
I'd annoy the 2nd editor,
the one doing the formatting,
if I insisted
on him changing it,
so I'll just leave it
as a reminder
of imperfection.
