I see that we will be enemies. Very well. To the semicolons I go; to em dashes (or other such dashes) and parentheses – those staples of additional thinking – I will turn.

could it be a browser issue? i've noticed some things (like curly quotation marks, and apostrophes, and sometimes even the em_dash) are prone to turning into odd symbols with firefox, but there's nothing amiss when i'm using opera or chrome or safari.

Speaking of little things bothering me (as in intrusive_thoughts), there's a comma missing in what's supposed to be the final draft of my poetry chapbook. I just saw it now. Approximation: If an "if" begins a sentence, you're supposed to have a comma after its clause closes. Here is a stanza in between to show that the two "if"s do not occur in succession. If another stanza is missing a comma at least I have a line break, but I fear it looks bad because the other "if"-starting stanza has a comma and this one doesn't. The thing is, this is the third version of the file, and I fear I'd annoy the 2nd editor, the one doing the formatting, if I insisted on him changing it, so I'll just leave it as a reminder of imperfection.
