Blue, green and red: Mixing colours with my mind. Daylight sinking fast, The bright sun now far behind. The clouds upon the sky, Gleaming slowly as they drift. On this blue canvas, The mixed colours begin to shift. As the flickering twilight deepens, Covering the world with its gloom Still she shines over us, Brightening this very room. Where I sit I now can see her, Shining from up afar, Her face no longer golden But the deepest shade by far. The deepest red: she glistens Covering everything she sees The snow upon a mountain, The smell within the breeze. She comes to grace us with her presence, Bless us with her shine, Making this sunset beautiful, How I wish that this one was mine. From sun-up until the setting, Five until eleven, The twilight’s dusk clouds now becoming, My own candy striped heaven.
