raze i know what i saw. the moon was only half full. but when i asked my expensive third eye to back me up, the lens had other ideas. the autofocus wouldn't function. and no matter how much time i spent turning the ring that lets me sharpen and blur at will, what looked like a ghostly fingernail clipping when it was cradled by sky appeared on the camera's hinged screen as a perfect sphere — a single white circle of light in a sea of black, beautiful enough to blot out any need for explanation. 221007
