lila the teacher says we are tactile learners

so come let me test

let us milk the bloody stone

and work overtime at the abattoir

may we grind flour and pull oil

and cast these wretched loaves

are you hungry? Did you learn?

raze the double (or triple) post happens to everyone sooner or later. it's kind of a rite of passage. and i like to think some things are so good, blather decides they should show up more than once. :) 240205

epitome of incomprehensibility lila - I love how the images in the poem link together, each one sharp and short, but everything fitting.

...

When I first heard this word, I thought it sounded too fancy for what it meant. If "slaughterhouse" seems too lurid for a place where animals are killed - since their deaths may be quiet, unspectacular - "abattoir" sounds just the opposite. Too refined, too dainty.

...but that's partly because French is my second language and sometimes I hear the music before the words.

lila eoi - thanks! that's kind of you to say. That's so true about the music within words, may we all continue to hear the song. 240209
