epitome of incomprehensibility My brother's doing an online Gaelic course from a college in Scotland. Partly it's solitary work, but there are some one-to-one tutorials, the first of which got scheduled for 9:30 AM. UK time. Which is 4:30 AM here.

What he said about it made me laugh - something like "I forgot about time zones!!" - but I agree it can be stressful to ask someone to change plans. Even if you're just sending a quick email to a teacher who won't think badly of you for happening to live an ocean away (one hopes).
