There wasn't much to go "Aww" about in John G. Fought's chapter on "American Structuralism"...until I saw this word nestled inside: "The 'Sapirians,' students and grandstudents of Sapir, diverged less from the linguistic theory and practice of their mentor..." I don't know about anyone else, but I never saw the word before and I think it's kind of adorable that the students of one's students can be called "grandstudents."
