rewritten uow i've found two different versions of the_stolen_child one version has: "to the waters and the wild" (the one i was first familiar with) the other: "to the woods and waters wild" (i found a few years ago in 'fairy and folk tales of the irish peasantry') and the puncutation differs in both i believe "to the waters and the wild" is the rewritten one, and it is the one most hear/read today. i like both, but sorta favour "woods and waters wild". 040803 ... uow also: it was originally 'fairy' instead of 'faery' and "evil dreams" not "unquiet dreams" and "from ferns that drop their tears of dew on the young streams. not "from ferns that drop their tears over the young streams and "come! o, human child!" not "come away, o human child!" and also the very last line "for the" not "from a" 040803 ... uow i can see why he would've changed most of that, but i still prefer the "woods and waters wild" line over "the waters and the wild". 040803 what's it to you? who go blather from
