Kate today begins a new mindset for me. today I felt what it truly means to be alive and what it truly means to be a friend. I learned the first through watching Mr. Betchel gaze outside the windows of the classroom and hearing his talk to us in Bible class. The second I learned at a track meet, when Coach told me that he knows how I will run even before I run it because he can read my mindset, and then Coach told me that he knew I wouldn't run well in the 4x800 and 800 because I was stressed and worried and quiet, and he told me that he can see when I'm excited and happy. I know what true friendship means now, when you have a friend that can make you feel so great about yourself and the world and everyone else that you can run your absolute best, and when you're with that person, you can tackle anything in life.
