xkcd
u24 apparently, I've just read 203 of these, from the beginning.

Makes me wish I understood maths jokes..

u24 and now i've read all of them.

you should, too.
070408
...
u24 of course, now I find myself wanting to go back through the entire set and tag the funniest on del_icio_us/user24 070408
...
karltheweed i just did the same thing a few weeks ago. 070409
...
pete thank you u24.. it's keeping me from charles taylor, and i don't know if i'm upset that.. 070409
...
u24 you can see the depths of my obsession here:

del.icio.us/user24/comics

I just had to start over, tagging my favourites.

anne-girl xkcd makes me so happy
geeky humour :)
070409
...
pete i'm all done them now, i guess i have to wait til wednesday for more... 070409
...

quite a few gems in there 070409
...
u24 oh, yeah, anyone using firefox to read them has to go and install this extension:

addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1715

and then read all of them again, this time with the added benefit of hover-over-descriptions and/or trivia.
070409
...
u24 you might also like: megatokyo 070409
...
anne-girl u24, I love you. Mostly for the long tooltips -- I'm almost afraid to look at megatokyo; I have so many amazing webcomics I have to start reading after exams end.

It's terrifying.
070410
...
u24 :D

megatokyo is highly addictive, i must warn you.
070410
...
pete i read what he had to say about firefox snubbing fixing the obvious problem with short tooltips... i really should get that extension.. 070410
...
u24 i find it strange that firefox doesn't render alt attributes as 'tooltips'.

I mean, it's technically correct not to, as alt specifies an ALTernative to the the image, not a supplement to it, and the correct attribute (which does render in both browsers) to use would be title.

But soooo many people still use alt, I do wonder why firefox doesn't.

I'm going to write a greasemonkey script to change alts into titles.

thanks ;)

anne-girl I really enjoy how the xkcd-ster writes about things which are unbelievably geeky, and I'd think he was exaggerating...

but I factor numbers obsessively too. I also walk funny on tiled floors and avoid cracks in the sidewalk.

it's all so true.

is a geek.
070412
...
(x1)(x2) i sometimes get carried away with factoring small numbers, and i sometimes make ridiculous attempts to factor larger ones, even though i don't possess the skill to fully factor such numbers, but i shall factor forth 070413
...
anne-girl four of us spent a good twenty minutes factoring four-digit numbers while at a restaurant the other week

one of them was prime, we think
070413
...
pete we used to multiple two digit numbers by two digit numbers while the teacher went over excessive number of examples in highschool math class... she always looked annoyed and pleased at once. 070413

pete that is, completely in our heads as races against each other with one person picking the numbers and speaking them allowed once 070413

jane this is my new favorite thing. i read all of them. 070417
...
. i read them all, also. and i've checked back thrice for more! 070417
...
dcKx I read them all, liking many. Now I begin to find him tedious. How is it that sometimes our tastes stay anchored for decades, yet other tastes change with the moons? I presume my distaste to originate within; how much can this guy's style really have changed since I first read him seven weeks ago?!? 070610
