the_new_blather_home_page
[.:..The SeeR ..:.] Well... I am shocked!

"They" altered the front page of blather to include the 3 random links!

On the one hand... The topics on the recent page are much more diverse and, well, random... Which is good and will make for better creative stimulation.

But on the other hand... and maybe this is symptomatic of a minor fear of change... but I don't like it! It's not the familiar page anymore where i could click on the recent link with my eyes closed...

Now...it will never be the same page twice... NEVER! (well...i suppose it's possible, but unlikely!)

And besides... How can you CHANGE an experiment half way through... unless the experiment is over?!?!?! Or this is phase 2 or something?!?!?

sigh... I suppose I'll just have to adapt... It'll be ok...

[.:..The SeeR ..:.] Wow... I just noticed they added the source code and a dynamic word count too!

I guess that makes me feel better for some reason.

unhinged i have found a new obsession with my dear blather thanks to this revisement. i have been fiendishly pushing go lately and refreshing the homepage is an awesome way of surfing the random pages of blather. i didn't like it at first either but it is seeming to have it's uses. red is still unchanged. 021111

Rhin i love that they brought them back. it was always cool when one of my brain babies would appear at random, while opening blather. i wonder why they removed them in the first place? 021111

the spork my best guess:

things crashing, falling apart, kind of like letting your front door and welcome mat go a little too long without any maintenance, the mat gets tattered and worn and the door needs to be sanded and refinished from the weather-beating

and admittedly, with what blather sometimes becomes (and i'll take my share of blame,) it doesn't surprise me that its creators might have forgotten it for awhile
all the same, it is nice to see things restored
