miniver So, I was watching "The Green Mile" the other day with Ursula, and we were talking about Stephen King -- because I'd read the book, and one must compare.

And then, I brought up "Shawshank Redemption", as "you know what was another great prison movie" (not that I knew that Green Mile was great, but Ursula had seen it and liked it).

I just found out yesterday that Shawshank was based on a Stephen King story, too. And, actually, the Green Mile is directed by the same director (I don't remember his name). Which made complete sense, because as I was watching Green Mile, I noticed this one actor in it (I don't remember his name either) -- you know, the guy who was the bad guy in Die Hard 2 -- the one who was doing the naked kung-fu shit in front of the mirror at the beginning. Yeah. He was the dad of the 2 dead blond girls in Green Mile. And, I just remembered, he was also one of the inmates in Shawshank!

I'm sure it doesn't warrant so many sentences, but it made a nice little 'click' in my brain.

miniver The Green Mile wasn't too great, though. It was 'okay'. 000623
