napalm
The Lone Rifleman I remember my dad talking about Napalm falling from trees on to his kevlar as the lizards hissed and the rains blew
he said "someday this will all be yours"
I lost my dad somewhere in that dream as I humped over that last hill down into the valley they talk about in Psalms
You know the one
The shadow of death and the lone sniper on the hill shooting your friends while you look to the sky saying
"God don't let me be next"
Watching blood pour on the concrete of the school cafeteria floor while the people from the inside watch you in the cell they built for you to live inside of
So you trudge on into the deeper jungle looking for the soul and life you left behind and hope that maybe someday you can wake up from this nightmare and be were you've always wanted to be
