silentbob i envy the man whose so secure in his relationship with his girlfriend that he feels comfortable hugging other girls and telling them he loves them.
i also pity him. because while he feels comfortable doing this, he doesn't realize hes the epitome of the cheating asshole that doesnt show his woman he loves her.
How is it different when he tells his girlfriend he loves her, as when he tells all the other girls? So much hugging, and sweetness should be reserved for your girlfriend.

arinna isn't there a difference between giving someone a hug and true love? between the love you feel for a friend and the kind that overwhelms you? 010401

silentbob Yes. but what about when you're just as cuddly with another girl as you are with your girlfriend? what's that? 010402

arinna i guess it depends on what the most important part of your relationship with your girlfriend is. 010402

dean-bean Ok, here's the deal kiddies. Envy is the desire for what someone else has. Jealousy is the fear of loosing something you already got. Never mix the two up again, okay? 010409

tender_square i want the relationship that frasier and niles have as siblings. i envy how frequently they have coffee together and converse about life and the ideas that matter to them; how frequently they attend artistic events together, such as the opera, the theater, and gallery showings; their love of sharing meals together and being excited about new restaurant openings. i don't think it's merely a fictional idealization; they bicker and squabble, they're competitive with one another. the more i watch the sitcom, the more i miss having any kind of qualitative relationship with any of my three sisters. 230318
