Strideo thanksgiving as we celebrate it today doesn't seem to have much to do with the puritan pilgrims who had the first thanksgiving does it? i mean come on, puritans were pretty hardcore with the strict religious discipline. I think they didn't like music or dancing for example. is it ironic that we hold them as icons for this holiday even though most of us will never reflect the values they held? most of us would find the pilgrims quite alien.
