rubydee here's some scrumptious vittles for yer gullet:

2 T. butter
1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
2 tsp. each: cumin, tumeric, ground corriander
1/4 t. chili powder
2 bay leaves
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 pound potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 and 1/4 c. water
salt and pepper to taste
3/4 pound frozen peas or canned/fresh equiv.

saute onion in butter until translucent
add spices, bay leaves, swirl until the aroma overwhelms your kitchen.
add the remaining ingredients (except the peas) and bring to a boil. simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. add the peas and cook a little longer. serve with rice and chapati.
