people_always_have_an_answer
. just by guessing i'd say that 95% of the world would want the same thing, but you've got that 5% that want to hold on tho the past, oh no it's not possible to restructure the world with the knowlege we have.

"people will always fight" yes, they will if you say that they will, they will fight because you want the power, if they don't fight you won't have the power right? 5% want to be wRAPPED up in history, they seem to want to celebrate war, wealth and pure greed, what they are missing is not knowing themselves.

95% of the world should go on strike, drink water for a day, (if you've got it that is) if you believe one life is equal to every other.

...we don't need words to understand it.

what is the answer?

Strideo Claiming to speak on the behalf of 95% of the world seems a little presumptuous if you ask me. I find it much more satisfying to simply speak for myself since I already know for a fact what my own opinion is.

Guy Fawkes so what do you think? is it 50/50 maybe?

i mean at least 95% is maybe a Hopi hope but it's thinking positively. There is a limit as to how much darkness one can accept as reality.

what percentage of people desire "a state of life that calls for another way of living?"

how about world voting day then ?
i mean, why do we need fences, pirates only wanted to have a fun life but then the Chinese invented gunpower! they also invented fireworks which i suppose makes up for it a little bit.

Strideo "what percentage of people desire 'a state of life that calls for another way of living?'"

Obviously I don't know but then again I don't know exactly what you mean by "a state of life that calls for another way of living". It seems so vague to me.

I mean you could say that when a giant asteroid slams into the planet it would cause a state of life that calls for another way of living.

"how about world voting day then?"

Voting for what though? Democracy isn't necessarily safe and benign. Democracy must be tempered by the rule of law in order to protect the rights of the individuals otherwise it's nothing more than mob rule. Put five wolves and two sheep together and have them vote on what's for dinner. You can bet it won't be grass.

dosquatch People may speak a desire for peace, but we have a history of ... well, ever since there have been humans that say this is not how we're inclined to behave. Wishing otherwise, no matter how noble, don't make it so.

As far as fun - in the most ideal, we are entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

That pursuit comes with no guarantees. And if it should happen that your pursuit curtails my own life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, then we have problems. This leads back to "humans fight", often in defense of our selves, our property, our family, or our rights, or any perception thereof.

So your pirates, who just wanted a "fun life", wanted to do so at the expense of the efforts of others. To take at the tip of a sword what they were not willing to legitimately work for. This, in any civilized society, is not acceptable.

Who CARES ? no, but how about the new type of pirates, the ones that help each other and share everything?

i mean, you speak about democracy but to me that only means to choose "a leader", after that, what choice do we really have? that is not democracy then is it? when democracy in it self means - the practice or principles of social equality.

why should i want to understand anYtthing about politics when, none of it makes any sense to me, it just seems like a load of hypocritical people fighting for something called power.

Can you please now tell me how much money goes into war and killing people? into training people to kill, fight for their country, protect their counrty?

the simple is true, if we didn't have fences and greed, we wouldn't have war and killing. The only reason i can find for restricting someone to an area is to prevent disease from spreading. It is funny at the same time that their is more disease in the third world isn't it! but then again it depends how do you define disease, the fastest growing disease in the west is something called stress, and do you know how many other diseases that leads to? not just mental problems for sure.
