He was graduatually losing bone mass, and would become increasingly shorter. I don't know how accurate my memory is about the consquences of that disease, cause he was a very tall dude, but I do know he had only a small amount of time left to live. I just wanted to reach out to him, and hold him and tell him how much I admired his courage, and respected his plight.
