silentbob John Denver, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Billy Joel, and George Gershwin. Cross dressing, all night Vicadin fueled rock armadas, karaoke, and Jagermeister. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. These are a few of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes favorite things

With an all-star line-up including members of Lagwagon and NOFX, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes creates tounge-in-cheek covers of '60s easy listening standards such as John Denver's "Country Roads" and Barry Manilow's "Mandy." Me First puts a humoursly punk slant on some of rock's least rocking songs, taking the "punk it up" attitude to its ridiculous extreme. While flawlessly translated into a punk format, the band's sound is based more on novelty than on innovation.
