masculine
kc My dictionary says it's "of or relating to men or boys; male," OR "suggestive or characteristic of a man; mannish".

What is mannish? "Resembling, imitative of, or suggestive of a man rather than a woman." Culturally, the masculine seems to be defined as "that which is not womanly."

The more women are allowed to be androgynous or masculine, the less room men have to be mannish. When women can do everything, what can men do to distinguish themselves from women?

Isn't that fucked up? I think masculinity needs to be redefined. The non-womanly thing is not working for men or women at this point.
