I hit "nevermind, i have nothing to say" and it takes me to this. This is two things in one. 1) it is a sign of me having a bad day, and 2) it is a sign of the apocolypse. I want to take this opportunity to expose this little entry to everyone in blatherdom. I hope it seems as absurd and ridiculous to you as it does to me... otherwise we're all in big trouble.

This band marked the beginning of a steep, steep decline in modern popular music. We owe to this band not only Limp Bizkit, but also Kid Rock and several other rap-metal atrocities. This band must die. They must. Oh, and that first entry is almost so dumb as to not be mentioned again, ever...but what does one expect from an entry beginning with the phrase "i love korn"?! Grr...Yes, this is a sign that I, too, am having a bad day...

although i like korn, this is not the type of place to compare bands. if you have something valid to say, type something about a real word. if not, just go to a korn website and take all of your" I LOVE KORN!!" crap with you.

my old high school friends really liked korn. the music was ok i just couldnt really get into the whole hype that went with the growing popularity of the band. i went to a show with my friends once. i dont like going to shows like that very much. i get claustraphobic. john davis has an interesting voice. i dont listen to korn anymore at all. the whole thing has just gotten too big

I like the band and I like their music and I hear what they say. I dont care if someone doesn't like them. If I liked pizza and you hated it would there be call for fighting and argueing? no. When people start getting at each other's throats over something like their taste in music I want to stand up above them and just yell "shutup!" I'm sorry if this has been a waste of time, but it hasn't for me because thats what I was thinking

I think there should be a different word for "entertainment" music and "art" music. Calling it all the same thing just doesn't make sense... Korn or N'Sync is about as different from Coltrane or Stravinsky as X-men from Dostoevsky.

I love korn, they have been around forever. Their music tells stories of true life for some teens. Of depression, anger, happiness, sadness, hostility, all of it and they can take an out of tune song, and make one hell of a song outta it! Korn is me, korn is forever

worst band in the world eh? You people must listen to VERY FEW bands if you think korn is the worst, or perhaps you all know nothing about music, being computer nerds and all. It's thanks to korn and their ilk that guitarists have the new seven string sound which is revolutionising the nu metal. I'll leave you all to bop along with Christine Aguillera or whoever yanks your chain.

ha! hell yea voice of reason! there are so many other fucking messed up bands out there than korn. Korn is good, they've been around for a long time and they paved the way for many bands too. If you want to see a fucked up "artist" then look at N*suck, Backlash boys, or Spear Brittany.

Is this like the "we all hate korn" website or something? if it is.. i dont see why, korn is really talented- jon davis can do so many different things with his vioce that most people can't. and im so sick of people calling him a fagget just because he's sensitive, fuck - im sure you'd be sensitive if you got raped as a child! and his traumatizing childhood is what gives their music meaning. KoRn kicks ass!!!!!

korn brings tight, violent movements, a dangerous snarl, claws to fingernails. korn brings growls and hot blood. korn brings violence home to roost, makes muscles tense in grinning anticipation. once upon a time, korn and i brought tourists to their knees, sent trespassers fleeing from my rage. korn is the primal whistle on my teakettle, korn touches me and moves me in the places good little girls aren't allowed to have. i am not a good little girl. and i rage to korn. the part of me that always argues with myself says, well, then go listen to some goth music, but that gets laughed at. some industrial, then. yes, sometimes ohgr or atkins or some other soul can push me, can make me bare teeth and growl, but its structure is less primal, less vicious. and, picking up the voices of others, it cites such bands as limp_bizkit and kid_rock. that doesn't even dignify a response... i remember reluctantly moving to these pretenders to the throne, because they were there, and because i could bring something to them, but korn draws something out of me that others barely echo. and then nostalgia steps in with its trump cards, and plays the video for adidas, with its slow revelation of corpses in drag, and too much of me is tickled and played upon to ignore. and then it reminds me of zoltar's industrial zone, my only source of music for a long while, and hearing nursery rhymes and accordians used for such purposes, and the evil delight glinting in my grin. have your own opinion. eat it with a spoon. but challenge me on having mine and i'll put on some korn and indulge in a little of the old ultraviolence.

i don't mean to sound insulting...but what year is it? seriously? come on now. i loved them (a long time ago in a galaxy far,far away) and they were good...but that was the 20th century. it's 2003. so many things have changed since then.

besides, I think if you asked jonathan davis now, he'd say he probably gravely regrets ever making a commercial success out of one of the most embarrasing secrets of his life (he'd say this as the silver chain around his neck blinded you and reminded you just how much money he actually did make).

hmm... so many things have changed that music can't be appreciated? i hereby order you to go through your cd's and throw away any that were made before january 2001. personally, that would pretty much empty me out, especially the blues collection. and i don't give a damn what john davis thinks any more than i give a damn that trent_reznor is an ass. i make little connection between artists and their work, unless i admire both.

but to be still be a fan of the band? like i said, i don't hate them or anything, i listen to them on occasion....as relic of the past. Imagine yourself at the age when everybody was riding bikes, nobody had training wheels anymore, kids were riding their bikes to school and all...and you're still a fan of crawling.

and I suppose you don't read or pay attention the lyrics? either that, or maybe you suppose that the words are coming from a lyric-generating supercomputer? because, otherwise, the words you hear come from the mouth of the artist...hence, the artist is to be credited for the messages they convey to the audience. Would anybody have given a damn about the Beatles if they were really satanic sado-masichists singing "all you need is love?"...the artists from which the music comes from is not be ingored...if you don't care about that then you don't really care about music. I might has well just program the words: "rape, daddy, why, hate, blind, etc" into my music generating supercomputer and call whatever comes out "the music of Korn" and let my machine make a couple million dollars.

your reasoning behind "still" being a fan of someone seems like you trade musical tastes, rather than add to them. most of the music and artists i have been a fan of, i continue to be a fan of. this isn't some nostalgia kick, this is Art that affects me. time passing only shows that it has enough strength to continue to do so, and was more than just a personal fad. i give full credit to artists for their music, an example being the common statement to hear from me, "i've heard from a lot of people who've had dealings with him that trent reznor is a total dickhead, but god damn if he doesn't put out a good remiz album." if someone judged my poetry on whether or not they liked me as a person, i would kick them in the head. and, yes, i would still like the beatle's music if they were satanic baby eaters. the only time that the personal lives of artists come into play, for me, is when they have views that i am very opposed to; i'd never knowingly by |
