jane i'm a big fan of harold and the purple crayon; i heard tim burton was making it into a movie..? also i like the 13 clocks by james thurber, but i was a little disturbed by it as a child, which is maybe why i liked it 050126

blown cherry pretty much anything by Roald Dahl, Sue Townsend's Adrian Mole series (though I gues you have to stick to the first two if we're talking kids books), and most definitely Madeleine L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time (but the movie was crap, I mean seriously, Dumbledore is NOT in the same universe as Mrs Who, Mrs Which and Mrs What). Anyway, I guess that covers my favourites, they're more or less the only ones that still live on my shelf, the rest are packed away in the growing number of boxes that are slowly archiving the contents of my past. 050127
