florescent light Anyone want to hire me?

Puh-lease!

I've got good computer and writing skills.
Plus I've got a college degree.

I hate all this resume and cover letter writing bullshit.
I feel like gauging someones eyes out.

Dafremen What DO you do? What is your degree in?
Where area are you located in? What would you LIKE to do? How much money are you looking for?

I've always gotten the first job I went after. ALWAYS. Seems I always know JUST what to say during the interviews. Gawd being a Libra rocks.

Course I don't have a degree so that makes it a little easier for me, plus that High School dropout thing helps alot too.

I'll help you find a job without leaving your house!(well until the interview of course)

Dafremen WAIT a minute! Didn't you say we'd all be better off if I was dead?! PLUS you never answered my email. 010606
...
florescent light The blather community does not revolve around you Mr. Dafreman dear.
Not every single post is directed toward you.
Shocking, isn't it?

And I will reply to your email on MY time.

(hehehehehe)

I'm in the process of putting my resume on Monster.com

What do I do?
I've got my Psychology degree.
I'd like a job pertaining to Psychology, writing, or computers.
Ideally I'd like to be a Dear Abby of sorts.

oh, and I am in NY.

Am I hired, huh, huh, am I, am I?

j_blue lord knows i need a better job, but sometimes i wonder who would choose to work with me...

right now, the best sf has to offer an out of work html guy is temp data entry :(

i'm super smart (though i doubt anyone cares/beleives me), super efficient, and only sparsely referred to as robotic (can't help it)

florescent light awww...
Sounds like you need a Psychologist.
(hint, hint)

Dafremen Heheh what florescent light doesn't know is that my father is a Registered Clinical Child Psychologist with a PHD and over 30 years in the business. Course most of that was in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

Oh and by the way dear, nice try redirecting your blather toward some "unknown person" around whom blather apparently DOES revolve. I know your comment was directed at me. It was your lashing out at my Dog_Boot_Company shtick.

As for the email, I FORBID you to send me one. : )

florescent light The comment was directed toward
my father.
And the continuation,
toward my mother.
If there is one thing I am not- it is a liar. I have yet to insult anyone on blather and certainly wouldn't start with you.

And it's too late cause the email went out about 15 minutes ago.

Dafremen Heheh. I KNEW you weren't a liar. After all..remember who yer talking to again.

However I DO take issue with your opinion that I am not the rotational axis upon which blather rotates. : )

As for the FORBIDDING you thing, heheheh I know of few ways to get a Libra(including me) to do something more effective than forbidding us to do something.

Looking forward to your email when I get home. Unless you sent it to my hotmail account, in which case I'll read it here.

As for your career Ms.Light, I have three_words for you:
United Way Organizations

They happen to employ large numbers of people with your background and interests. The money will suck, (my dad did it for 13 years WITH a PhD..trust me the money sucked) but the experience is some of the best and if you're really into this to help people(I guess that shouldn't really be a question huh? Ok so SINCE you're really in this to help people...) it can be VERY rewarding. Plus you can start building up a network of contacts as you work your way up the ladder. Are you planning on post graduate studies? There is a degree that's alot like a PhD in many ways that's called a PsyD degree. I'm not sure what the requirements are, but IF you eventually want to do private practice or counseling, you're going to need to continue your education. (The money can range anywhere from crap to BIIIIG bux. Dad makes about $110 per hour. But that's after YEARS of working for peanuts and 12 years of college. He's earned it.)

bird of all trades i have most of my preliminary courses done relating to evidence handling, evidence technology, and field forensics

plus, on the opposite side of that i had a sporadic career during my college days as something of a criminal as well

i spent six years working in various radio frequency operations and industrial automation operations
doing electromechanical assembly as well as electronic asssembly (to IPC610-B workmanship standard for surface mount and plated-through-hole assemply) during which time i also acquired considerable experience in product inspection, testing and quality control

during the downturn in the local electronics market, i gained some introductory experience in light construction and groundskeeping (downward mobility can be a major bitch)
until sufficient harassment of the temp agency i was working for at the time eventually resulted in a few short term assignments closer to the more technical aspects of my resume

scary part is that i now make more money as a (still underpaid, according to a recent market survey) low level bureaucrat/administrative assistant than i ever made working any of the tech positions i did here
